The first and most significant word that comes to mind when describing Marina Hoermanseder’s collections, is contrasts.

The Berlin-based womenswear labels’ use of soft colours, ruffles and sleek satin accompanied by patent leather, disturbingly tight corsets and heaps of buckles captured out attention instantly.

Several different worlds are intertwined in Hoermanseder’s work. The combination of conventional and unconventional beauty creates an unexpected twist in her creations, and Marina’s previous internship at Alexander McQueen clearly comes through when it comes to her skill diversity and way of thinking.
