After two catwalk collections and two advertising campaigns in less than six months, Gucci’s newly appointed creative director Alessandro Michele is trying to shift the brand’s image from classic to cool. Charming chiffons, pussy bows and colorful embroidery mixed with classic Gucci loafers and flirty suits Michele showed on Cruise 2016 catwalk were the proof of his new direction to displace overt sexuality with romanticism.
A film directed by Glen Luchford follows a guest into a dance party. Old-fashion setting sets the sophisticated tone. In contrast, dancers radiate young spirit and laid back attitude.
